Workshops
Most people love to sing – whether or not they say they only ever sing in the bath or were told to mime in the school choir.
I know that singing is really good for human beings and am convinced that it’s vital work to entice people into sharing singing communities whether that’s for a short-lived workshop or an ongoing choir.
I thoroughly enjoy the opportunities I get to do that and will no doubt be doing much more, though I’m not doing any long-term projects just now.
For years in London, I ran two wonderful music groups with homeless people and two community choirs. In Colorado in the same years, I helped run a fabulous singing camp for teenagers, “Mountain Harmony”.
Other workshops have included those for Cardboard Citizens (a homeless theatre group) at Crisis at Christmas, for Core Arts at their inspirational conference on mental health provision, at Lewisham People’s Day, at The Horniman Museum in South London and many other events and venues.
I trained at Goldsmith’s College, London and with Frankie Armstrong and am a member of the Natural Voice Practitioners Network (see LINKS).
When running workshops I teach by ear and use traditional and original songs, rounds and improvisations from all over the world.
I’ll keep a diary below of any upcoming workshops. For any more details or for bookings please contact: info@claremee.com
